(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Health reports 256 new COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths statewide on Tuesday.

The St. Cloud area only sees 15 new cases and no new deaths from the disease: Benton County two, Morrison County one, Sherburne County three, Stearns County five and Wright County four.

The state processed a relatively low volume of tests on Monday (7,251 tests) for a one-day positivity rate of 3.5 percent.

Over the course of the pandemic, almost 600,000 Minnesotans have tested positive for COVID, and 7,381 have died.

The MDH is also releasing data on how many teens have gotten vaccinated against COVID so far. Data from Sunday show that 60,711 Minnesotans age 12 through 15 have gotten their first shot. That number is about the same for the state’s 16 to 17-year-olds — 60,418. 51.5 percent of Minnesota’s entire population has received at least one vaccine dose. 45.2 percent of Minnesotans are now considered fully vaccinated.
