(KNSI) – A 27-year-old Annandale man is OK after crashing his dirt bike Sunday evening.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says about 7:15; they received a call about a dirt bike in the ditch on Highway 55 near mile marker 133 in Maine Prairie Township east of Kimball. The man lying next to the bike, Brett Iees, said he was driving in the ditch when he hit a large rock and lost control, causing the bike to roll. He figures the bike rolled five or six times.

Police say Iees was wearing a helmet and protective gear and suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. They say he refused transport to the hospital by ambulance.

Police cited Iees for an off-highway motorcycle operation violation.
