(KNSI) – A police incident Friday morning on St. Cloud’s east side caused St. Katharine Drexel School to briefly go into lockdown.
According to an email sent to parents from SKD’s Principal Erin Hatlestad and obtained by KNSI said the school was put into lockdown for about 20 minutes. The email says at no point were any students in danger.
The email says police were “trying to apprehend a person of interest and said person ran through our playground. No students were on the playground at the time. The suspect was apprehended behind Lincoln Elementary and our lockdown was lifted.”

(KNSI) – An investigation is underway after a police incident Friday morning on the east side of town.
The incident drew a heavy police presence, and Division Street was closed at Wilson Avenue for a time while officers investigated.
Police say the incident is over, and there is no threat to the public.
