(KNSI) – Construction along Interstate 94 between Clearwater and Maple Grove is starting up soon.
Starting at 7 p.m. Thursday night, eastbound I-94 will be reduced to two lanes between Maple Grove and Rogers. After 9 p.m., traffic will be reduced to one lane, and the Minnesota State Patrol will periodically stop traffic between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. as crews build a new concrete conveyor system near Brockton Lane.
Other construction projects starting Monday include resurfacing westbound I-94 near Monticello. As crews resurface that stretch of the interstate, MnDOT says eastbound traffic will shift to the widened outside lanes to accommodate the westbound traffic. Shoulders and lanes themselves will be narrow. That change is set to last until resurfacing is finished in mid-October.
Also, a ramp closure on eastbound I-94 to Highway 241 at St. Michael starts Monday and should last until June 5th.
