(KNSI) – Two central Minnesota men are under arrest in Florida, accused of breaking into a marina and boatyard, while a third man allegedly kept watch.

27-year-old Robert Abts and 20-year-old Nikolas Davey of Long Prairie are accused of scaling a locked fence at a Martin County, Florida marina while 18-year-old Spencer Sands allegedly stood watch from a bridge.

Marina security called police after noticing the three, and a perimeter was set up while authorities searched for the men. Ground units, a K9, air support, and a tactical surveillance team were called in. The three men were ultimately found and arrested. Abts and Davey were charged with criminal trespassing. Sands was charged with drug possession.

The three men told police they were taking pictures of the yachts parked in the boatyard. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office says every spring, thieves travel to what is known as the Treasure Coast to steal boats, motors, electronics, and fishing gear.
