(KNSI) – Minnesota sees 1,453 new COVID-19 cases and 12 deaths confirmed Friday.
The death count includes one person from Sherburne County in their 70s and one person from Wright County in their 50s.
There are 140 newly reported COVID cases in the five-county St. Cloud area: nine in Benton County, nine in Morrison County, 45 in Sherburne, 49 in Stearns County and 28 in Wright.
Nearly 44,000 COVID tests were processed in the state Thursday, and only 3.3 percent came back positive.
Meanwhile, just about 60 percent of Minnesotans 16 and older have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. More than 2 million Minnesotans are now fully vaccinated.
