(KNSI) – The company that operates St. Cloud’s pay by phone parking app says it has been hacked.

Officials with Parkmobile say hackers stole license plate numbers, email addresses, and phone numbers of users. No credit card information was stolen.

If you use Parkmobile to pay for parking, the company says it’s a good idea – regardless if your information was hacked – to change your password immediately.

The hack was discovered March 26th by a cybersecurity firm called GeminiAdvisory.

Parkmobile issued a statement about the hack, saying, “Please rest assured we take seriously our responsibility to safeguard the security of our users’ information and appreciate your continued trust.”

Users are upset and say they were not notified by the company about the hack. The company contends they notified users via a push alert on the app.
