St. Cloud JC Penney Store Robbed at Gunpoint

(KNSI) – St. Cloud police are investigating after a gunpoint robbery at JC Penney inside Crossroads Center Mall Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to the store about 3:15 after a man allegedly walked up to a female employee, threatened her, displayed a handgun, and demanded jewelry. Investigators say he made off with an undisclosed amount of jewelry and left the store through the west parking lot.

The suspect had initially been in the store about 12:30 Tuesday afternoon, left, and returned at about 2:45, which is when they say the robbery happened.

The suspect was described as a black man, between 35 and 40 years old, 5’8″ tall, with a black jacket and white shirt with a white baseball cap and a black face mask.
