(KNSI) – As more people get vaccinated against COVID-19 and capacity limits go up, the wedding industry is starting to bounce back, but wedding planner Tracy French says one trend she is seeing is smaller gatherings.

“People are not – at least at this point – not comfortable doing the two and 300 guest gatherings.”

Now that the higher gathering limits in place and vaccines available, but French says couples are ready to “confidently and safely plan their weddings.”

Regardless, French says, people are ready to get back to a bit of normal.

“They want to put this in the past. They want to plan their special days and they want to look at the positives. All of the positives that are coming our way.”

She says couples are still taking precautions. Some brides are asking guests to get tested before the big day, buffet tables are out, and plated dinners are in, but there is nothing, she says, that can stop the dancing at a reception.
