(KNSI) – During a media briefing Tuesday, Gov. Tim Walz said he expects to ease the state’s COVID-19 precautions early next week.
Walz’s statement came the same day that the CDC updated its guidance for people fully vaccinated against COVID. Vaccinated people don’t need to wear face masks when they’re outdoors, the CDC says, unless they’re in a large crowd or at big outdoor events.
Walz said Tuesday that masks and vaccines are critical for keeping COVID-19 cases low.
The loosened restrictions could include changing capacity restrictions at sporting events and in other venues.
