(KNSI) – The Jury has Reached a Verdict in the case against Derek Chauvin.
The verdict will be read between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m.
The former Minneapolis Police Officer is accused of murder and manslaughter after holding George Floyd down with a knee across Floyd’s neck for more than nine minutes.
Bystandarded video of Floyd’s death caused outrage and civil unrest across Minnesota and the Nation.
The jury began deliberating late Monday afternoon and returned their verdict just before 2:30 on Tuesday afternoon.
