Minnesota Reports 1,292 New COVID-19 Cases, 6 Deaths Monday

(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Health reports 1,292 new cases of COVID-19 and six deaths on Monday. This includes 142 new cases in the five-county St. Cloud area.

Benton County adds 15 cases, Morrison County two, Sherburne County 33, Stearns County 48 and Wright County 44.

The state processed more than 23,297 COVID tests on Sunday for a one-day test positivity rate of 5.5 percent.

In Minnesota, 682 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.

Meanwhile, nearly 2.3 million Minnesotans have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Over the weekend, the state crossed the milestone of vaccinating more than 50 percent of the eligible population with at least one dose. However, the state also crossed 7,000 deaths due to COVID.

Around St. Cloud, 143,951 people have received at least one COVID vaccine dose.
