(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Health reports 2,299 new cases of COVID-19 and six deaths on Friday, including a Wright County resident who was in their 70s.
The five-county St. Cloud area sees 232 new cases: 17 in Benton County, 14 in Morrison County, 73 in Sherburne County, 73 in Stearns County and 55 in Wright County. Right now, there are approximately 1,620 people with active cases of COVID-19 around St. Cloud.
The state processed 51,856 COVID tests Thursday for a one-day test positivity rate of 4.4 percent.
As for vaccinations, 2,198,550 Minnesotans have gotten at least their first dose of the vaccine. That’s 49.8 percent of the state’s eligible population.
