(KNSI) – Minnesota reports 2,736 new cases of COVID-19 and 11 deaths on Thursday. None of the deaths were reported from the five-county St. Cloud area.

There are 273 local new cases: 16 in Benton County, 20 in Morrison County, 81 in Sherburne County, 82 in Stearns County and 74 in Wright County. Over the course of the pandemic, 55,093 people in the St. Cloud area have had confirmed positive cases of COVID-19.

The state processed 46,409 tests on Wednesday for a one-day test positivity rate of 5.9 percent.

Right now, 699 people are hospitalized for COVID-19 in Minnesota; 168 of those patients are in the ICU.

Meanwhile, 2,162,665 Minnesotans have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. During April, the state has doled out 676,474 vaccine doses.
