(KNSI) – St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis is getting ready to deliver his 16th State of the City Address.
“It’s May 4, at 12:30 p.m. at Lake George on the performing stage, weather permitting. Hopefully, it will be nice.” Kleis was a guest of KNSI’s Bob Hughes.
The yearly address will be outdoors due to COVID restrictions.
“It’s an opportunity to talk about what’s happened, what’s going on, and where we’re going.”
Last year, Kleis gave the State of the City virtually due to the pandemic.
The speech will be the mayor’s first address since winning reelection in the fall.
It’s the start of his fifth term as mayor. Kleis was elected in 2005, 2008, 2012, and 2016.
He is St. Cloud’s longest-serving mayor.
