(KNSI) — Highway 169 closed Wednesday morning after a pileup crash.
The Minnesota State Patrol reportedly says it all started about 4:45 when drivers began losing control on an icy bridge deck. One of those drivers got out of their car and was hit by a passing SUV. Several people were injured in the ensuing pileup. 169 closed in both directions, as is the Interstate 94 westbound ramp to south 169. The roadway reopened before 9:00.
Roads were reportedly slick at the time of the crash, following a light dusting of snow overnight and temperatures hovering around freezing.
