(KNSI)- A woman was taken to the hospital by helicopter and a man by ambulance after an ATV crash in Stearns County.
The sheriff’s office says 64-year-old James Hiltner of Freeport was driving a 2013 Polaris Ranger with a passenger when he crashed on Saturday at 8:41 p.m.
The accident was at 42523 248th Avenue in Krain Township, approximately five miles east of St. Rosa.
Hiltner could get out of the wreckage, but 52-year-old Jean Enowmbitang was pinned under the side-by-side.
Hiltner tried to lift the ATV off of Enowmbitang with a skid loader.
Hiltner was taken by ambulance to the St. Cloud Hospital, and Enowmbitang was flown to St. Cloud Hospital by helicopter.
Investigators say impaired driving is believed to be a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
