(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Health confirms 1,385 new cases of COVID-19 and 10 deaths on Monday. This includes two people from Stearns County, one in their 80s and one in their 90s.
The five-county St. Cloud area reports 206 new cases: 28 in Benton County, 20 in Morrison County, 47 in Sherburne County, 63 in Stearns County and 48 in Wright County.
After a one-day pause in new case reporting due to the Easter holiday, the MDH says cases reported Monday were analyzed on Saturday, and both Sunday’s and Monday’s new cases will be reported on Tuesday, which could cause a temporary bump in new cases.
Monday’s new positive cases account for 3.7 percent of the 37,065 COVID tests processed on Saturday.
As for vaccinations, more than 1.8 million Minnesotans have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. They represent 32.5 percent of the state’s total population. About 1.1 million people (20.9 percent of the population) are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
