(Metro News/KNSI) – Governor Tim Walz is trying to return Minnesota to some sense of normalcy.
On Friday, the governor announced that he was rescinding five COVID-19-related executive orders as they are no longer needed.
Those include restrictions on visitors to Minnesota Veterans’ homes, allowing the Department of Public Safety to suspend education requirements and extend license renewals for law enforcement and first responders, expanding access to distance learning and summer school options, and broadening access to unemployment benefits.
However, Walz did sign EO 21-25, which prohibits the recent stimulus checks from being counted against eligibility for programs offered by the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
