(KNSI) – Minnesota reports 1,714 new COVID-19 cases and seven deaths Friday. The death count includes one Morrison County resident in their 60s and a Sherburne County resident in their 70s.
Around St. Cloud, there are 236 new cases.
- Benton County: 20
- Morrison County: 16
- Sherburne County: 71
- Stearns County: 80
- Wright County: 49
The last time Stearns County saw 80 or more new cases in one day was on December 14th, 2020.
Nearly 44,000 tests were processed in Minnesota on Thursday for a one-day test positivity rate of 3.9 percent.
Meanwhile, more than 1.5 million Minnesotans have gotten at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Out of that group, more than 900,000 people are now fully vaccinated.
On Tuesday, all Minnesotans 16 and older will become eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.
