(KNSI) — The Winstock Music and Camping Festival is being postponed again.

Originally set for June, organizers are moving the festival to August 20th and 21st. It was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a press release, Winstock committee chairman Dave Danielson says, “We are focused on having Winstock in 2021, and by gaining over two months, we can work towards a safer event for guests, artists, volunteers, and our community. COVID has hit us hard, and we want to make every effort possible to have a normal Winstock and a great celebration for everyone.”

Danielson says many of the artists have adjusted their plans to honor the commitment to Winstock. Luke Combs is still set to play, but he says Darius Rucker had to drop out. In his place is Sam Hunt. Chris Janson, Brett Elderidge, Big & Rich, Shenandoah, and Phil Vassar are all on the bill.

Tickets and camping passes for the original dates will still be honored and transferred for the new August dates. Tickets will be mailed out in early June.

Danielson says the goal of Winstock every year is to “present the most entertaining, fun and safe event we possibly can, and this year is absolutely no different! By moving this year’s festival to August 20 and 21, Winstock gains over two months to allow for a healthier Minnesota.”
