(KNSI) – Investigators are looking into the cause of a second grass fire over the weekend in Stearns County.
The Holdingford Fire Department was called at 2:21 a.m. on Sunday by a 21-year-old man who said he could see a grass fire from his home.
The fire was on County Road 151, approximately one mile north of 395th Street in Holding Township.
About an acre of grass and brush burned before the fire was put out.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says the cause of the fire is unknown.
It’s the second fire reported in Stearns County on Sunday morning.
Around 12:30 a.m., a grass fire burned around seven acres of land in Wakefield Township before it was extinguished.
The cause of that fire is also under investigation.
