(KNSI) – After allegedly pointing a gun at a group of young adults making a video for social media, a Waite Park man was arrested.

According to a press release, police were called around 9:00 p.m. on Monday to the 300-block of Park Meadows Drive on a gun complaint.

Investigators say the group made a Tik-Tok video using toy guns that shoot a soft, air-filled projectile.

Police say the 44-year-old man’s spouse went outside to see what was going and was accidentally hit by one projectile.

The spouse wasn’t hurt. Officials say the man got into an argument with the group and, at some point, pulled out a real handgun.

The man was arrested and is being held on a charge of second-degree assault.

No one was injured during the incident, and no other charges are anticipated.
