(KNSI) – The man accused in the fatal Allina Health clinic shooting last month made his second court appearance in Wright County District Court Monday.
According to officials with Wright County, Gregory Ulrich’s attorney asked for and was granted a Rule 20 evaluation to determine Ulrich’s competency to stand trial.
In another matter regarding a violation of a harassment restraining order that a doctor at that same clinic had taken out against Ulrich, Ulrich was found not competent to stand trial. The restraining order was dismissed.
Wright County Attorney Brian Lutes was allowed to get a DNA sample from Ulrich and to keep the shooting victims’ information confidential.
One person was killed and four others were hurt in the shooting.
Ulrich is due back in court on May 20th.
