(KNSI) – The athletics department at St. John’s University is releasing a spectator policy for the 2021 spring and fall to spring sports.
Masks will be required at all times, even outside, and social distancing must be observed. Spectators are asked to stay six feet away from others and 12 feet away from student-athletes, coaches and staff. Fans and parents cannot switch seats or go socialize with other groups and be required to remain in their seats for the event’s duration. They are also not allowed to gather with student-athletes after the competition is over. Pets and sunflower seeds are also not allowed inside or around any venue.
There are also sport-by-sport rules for baseball, football, golf, soccer, tennis, and outdoor track and field. Find those guidelines by clicking here.
The department’s website says the school’s spectator policy and venue capacities are subject to change and will be reviewed daily based on the latest Minnesota Department of Health and Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference COVID-19 protocols.
