(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Health confirms 1,505 new COVID-19 cases and six deaths across the state Thursday. The death count includes a Morrison County resident who was in their late 90s.
Around St. Cloud, there are 169 newly confirmed COVID cases: Benton County 18, Morrison County 25, Sherburne County 32, Stearns County 46 and Wright County 48.
The state processed 42,954 COVID tests Wednesday, and 3.5 percent came back positive.
Thursday’s cases bring Minnesota over the half-a-million mark for total COVID-19 cases throughout the pandemic. But the state has also administered more than 2 million vaccines to 1.3 million Minnesotans as of Thursday’s new figures from the MDH. Sunday will mark one year since the state’s first COVID-19 death.
