UPDATE: 3:04 p.m. The Minnesota State Patrol has identified the victim as 78-year-old Bryan Theodore Withers, of Osakis.
(KNSI) – One person is dead after a head-on crash on Interstate 94 Wednesday morning.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened about 3:00 on eastbound 94 near milepost 123, about two miles west of Sauk Centre. Crash investigators say a Chevy Silverado Pickup truck driven by a 78-year-old Osakis man was driving the wrong way on 94 when it collided head-on with a semi. The state patrol says he was not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver and passenger of the semi do not appear to be hurt.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
