(KNSI) – Minnesota reports 716 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths on Tuesday.

The five-county St. Cloud area reported no new deaths but does add 62 new cases: seven in Benton County, four in Morrison County, 18 in Sherburne County, 14 in Stearns County and 19 in Wright County.

The one-day test positivity rate is up above the 5 percent caution threshold Tuesday at 6 percent, but the state processed only 11,834 tests on Monday, a lower amount of tests than usual.

The latest data for vaccine distribution shows that 1,955,354 vaccine doses have made their way into the arms of 1,265,430 Minnesotans. Those who have received at least one dose of the vaccine make up 22.7 percent of the state’s population. In addition, 75.7 percent of Minnesota’s senior population is now vaccinated.
