(KNSI) – The Minnesota Highway Safety Research Center at St. Cloud State University is once again hosting teen driver crash avoidance and advanced driving skills classes.
The fast-paced, hands-on classes cover obstacle and crash avoidance, skid recovery, reaction time limitations, and distracted driving. Professional instructors coach the teen drivers through challenging maneuvers and specially equipped vehicles on a closed course. While the teens are out on the course, parents also get some classroom time.
Parents must attend the two-hour parent awareness class about teen driving risks and teen driving laws. They will also get to watch their teen driver behind the wheel.
Classes are $150 per student and will be held May 15th, June 19th and June 30, July 24th, and August 5th.
