(KNSI) – Organizers of Summertime by George! say a concert lineup is expected to be released in early May.

After Mayor Dave Kleis spoke of the St. Cloud Rotary Club in the planning stages earlier this week, Summertime by George Executive Committee Member Diane Hageman released an official statement, expressing optimism for the season,

“As spring approaches and we’re graced with warmer weather, we’re looking optimistically at 2021 and making plans!”

“Much of our hopes and plans will rely on our state’s COVID-19 response plan as well as the vaccine rollout. With the continued loosing of the restrictions on outdoor gatherings, the capacity is growing significantly and we know this will evolve through the spring. Our intent is to make SBG happen this summer in a safe manner.”

“Watch for our entertainment lineup announcement in early May.”

2020 would have marked Summertime by George’s tenth year but was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so the celebration is set for 2021.

Each year Summertime by George draws thousands of people for the free music beside Lake George at Eastman Park.
