Minnesota Confirms 1,100+ New COVID-19 Cases, 13 Deaths Friday

(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Health confirms 1,107 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday. This includes 115 cases found in the five-county St. Cloud area.

Benton County adds 10 new cases, Morrison County 16, Sherburne County 29, Stearns County 34 and Wright County 26.

Thirteen new deaths from COVID-19 were also reported statewide, including one person from Morrison County who was in their 60s.

Friday’s new positive cases made up 3.2 percent of the 35,085 COVID-19 tests processed by the state on Thursday.

As for vaccinations, more than 1.1 million people have gotten the shot in Minnesota. So far, 660,019 Minnesotans are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. An additional 503,464 people have just received their first dose out of the two needed for the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
