(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Health confirms 922 new COVID-19 cases and nine deaths on Wednesday. The death count includes two people from Stearns County, one in their 80s and one in their 90s.
Around the five-county St. Cloud area, there are 98 newly confirmed cases: 17 in Benton County, seven in Morrison County, 22 in Sherburne County, 33 in Stearns County and 19 in Wright County.
The state processed 20,704 COVID-19 tests on Tuesday, and 4.5 percent of those tests came back positive.
As for vaccinations, 1.1 million Minnesotans have now received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. In that group, 615,000 people have gotten their second dose, representing 11.1 percent of the state’s population.
Per the latest data from Monday, the MDH says 68.3 percent of the state’s seniors have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
