(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Health reports 473 new COVID-19 cases and six deaths on Monday.
None of those new deaths occurred around St. Cloud, but there are 39 new cases in the five-county area.
The state processed 36,485 COVID-19 tests on Sunday, and only 1.3 percent of those tests came back positive.
Saturday marked one year since the first known COVID case in Minnesota, and since then, more than 490,000 Minnesotans have had COVID-19 and 6,556 have died from the disease. More than 1 million Minnesotans have gotten at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose.
In the five-county St. Cloud area, 48,115 people have had COVID-19 over the past year. Now, 71,987 people in the area have received at least their first COVID-19 vaccine dose.
