(KNSI) – St. Cloud Hospital is being recognized as one of the best hospitals in the country on Newsweek’s 2021 World’s Best Hospitals list.
“Newsweek”, along with Statista, which is a global data market research firm, used three general categories of data to “provide the best possible data-based comparison of hospital reputation and performance.”
Researchers surveyed 74,000 medical experts and looked at publicly available patient satisfaction data and publicly available quality data to create its findings. CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital came in at number 45.
Other Minnesota hospitals include Mayo Clinic in Rochester, which came in at number one. St. Cloud Hospital was the other highest-ranking Minnesota hospital on the list. University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis was number 67 and was the only other Minnesota hospital in the top 100.
CentraCare’s Senior Vice President and President of St. Cloud Hospital, Joy Plamann, says of the honor, “We sincerely appreciate the award, because it recognizes the tireless work of our staff, advanced practice providers and physicians to provide an unsurpassed level of care to this community.”
Healthgrades named St. Cloud Hospital as one of the top 100 hospitals in the country just last month, and also recognized them for excellence in cardiac care, cardiac surgery, and coronary intervention.
