(KNSI) – A Melrose man has been charged with possession of guns and drugs after police pull over a truck near Sauk Centre.
According to the criminal complaint, a woman called the police on December 6th and said Rodolfo Ramirez Jr. was chasing her a pointed a gun at her.
The 21-year-old was a passenger in a white truck that was pulled over on County Road 17 near 385th Ave.
Police say they smelled marijuana and searched the truck.
Investigators say they found a handgun, a large amount of cash, and almost four and a half pounds of methamphetamine.
A search of Ramirez’s record showed he has prior convictions in Stearns and Douglas County for drugs in 2018, 2017, and 2016 which bars him from owning or possessing guns.
He’s been charged with two counts of possession of drugs in the 1st degree and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
