The Bloomington Police Department has canceled its missing person alert after authorities found 73-year-old David Shibata deceased Friday morning. The report does not detail where he was found.

(KNSI) – The Bloomington Police Department is looking for a 73-year-old man who left his home on foot Wednesday night.

The department put out an endangered missing person alert for David Shibata, who has Alzheimer’s, late Thursday afternoon.

Authorities say he left his home around 11 p.m. on Wednesday. His direction of travel is unknown, and he is possibly wearing dark-colored jeans and a red-and-black jacket. Shibata is 5-foot-6 with gray hair and brown eyes.

Authorities say to call 911 or the Bloomington Police Department at 952-563-4900 if you see him or know of his whereabouts.
