Walk In Service for License Tab Renewal Now Available at Both Stearns County Service Centers

(KNSI) – Officials with Stearns County say walk-in services are now available for license tab renewals at both license centers.

Walk-in services were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic last year.

Appointments are still available for all other license center services. The public can also conduct their county-related business through the mail, dropbox, or online. The drive-thru at the Stearns County West Service Center is also open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Due to the high demand for the drive-thru, customers need to be in line by 3:00 p.m.

According to a post on the Stearns County website, Stearns County Auditor-Treasurer Randy Schreifels says, “Having multiple ways to conduct License Center business makes it easier for our citizens and hopefully reduces or eliminates wait times. Although the doors aren’t fully open, it is still a priority for us to complete these services just as efficiently.”

Drop boxes are located at the entrances of the downtown Administration Center and the Waite Park Service Center.
