(KNSI) – A St. Cloud man is under arrest in Illinois after allegedly fleeing from police in a stolen car.
Police in Mattoon, in central Illinois, say they spotted Tyree Neal in a stolen vehicle, and when they tried to stop him, he fled the scene. When officers did manage to get him stopped, they say Neal fled on foot but was arrested and booked into the Coles County jail.
He has been charged with fleeing police, possessing a stolen vehicle, and driving after revocation.
A search of jail records shows Neal has been arrested several times in Stearns County. Most recently, in 2020 where he was charged with car theft and fleeing police.
His next court appearance is set for March 4th in Illinois.
