(KNSI) – St. Cloud DFL Senator Aric Putnam is hosting a virtual town hall this week about the COVID-19 vaccine and the distribution process within the state.

“We all know these are challenging times, but we also see some light at the end of the tunnel,” Putnam said in a press release. “Still, we need to have open communication to make sure we get out of the tunnel. This is a chance for our whole community to learn about the vaccine and get all our questions answered.”

Putnam will be joined by three public health professionals: Lynn Bahta, public health nurse and clinical consultant for the Minnesota Department of Health’s immunization program, Kathy Parsons, CentraCare’s vice president of population health and executive director of the Central Minnesota Health Network, and Dan Kitzberger, legislative director for the MDH’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout.

Thursday’s virtual town hall starts at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Facebook. Attendees can also join via Zoom, which requires pre-registration.
