(KNSI) – A 42-year-old Sartell man was hurt in a snowmobile crash Saturday afternoon.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says Darren Trousil was driving his sled north in the ditch of County Road 2 just north of St. Stephen in Brockway Township about 3:45 when he went over a ditch and became airborne. On landing, he lost control of the machine and rolled it several times. First responders say Trousil was thrown from the snowmobile, and his helmet came off.
He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.
Police say alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the crash, which is still under investigation.
