(KNSI) – A Monticello man is dead after a head-on crash along Sherburne County Road 14 Thursday morning.
The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office says 86-year-old Ronald Olson lost control of his vehicle while traveling east on the roadway just south of Highway 10 near Big Lake. His vehicle crossed the center line into the path of an oncoming pickup truck.
The truck’s driver, 36-year-old Michael Grimley of Big Lake, received non-life-threatening injuries. Olson died at a hospital on Friday morning.
Authorities say they think slippery road conditions were a factor in this crash.
