(KNSI) – St. Cloud-based Coborn’s, Incorporated has earned a certification seal from Ecolab for its stringent cleaning practices.
St. Paul-based Ecolab Incorporated’s Science Certified Seal is given to businesses who “deliver a higher level of cleanliness through science-backed products, including the fastest product available proven to kill the COVID-19 virus, and protocols to help protect the places you eat, stay, play and shop by reducing the risk of exposure to germs.”
Ecolab’s research of customers in May of 2020 showed that 72% of grocery shoppers feel “very safe” or “extremely safe” knowing that hospital disinfectants were being used where they were shopping.
Ecolab looked at how a retailer created clean by using hospital disinfectants and food-contact sanitizers to protect against COVID-19. How the store checked its cleanliness through detailed public health and food safety training and periodic auditing by Ecolab specialists focused on public health and food safety to determine whether program elements are being followed. It was also judged on front-of-house cleaning practices and disinfecting procedures.
Meanwhile, Ecolab says Coborn’s also placed at number 82 on the PG 100, the Progressive Grocer’s list of the top food and consumables retailers in North America.
