(KNSI) – The 37-year-old medical assistant killed in the attack on the clinic in Buffalo Tuesday morning was a student at St. Cloud Technical and Community College.

A statement from the school says Lindsay Overbay completed her Associate of Arts degree online with the conclusion of the fall 2020 semester. She had applied to start the sonography program this coming fall.

School officials call the loss “devastating” and are making resources available to students and staff who have difficulty dealing with the tragedy.

Overbay has also received a degree in journalism from St. Cloud State University.

She leaves behind a husband and two children. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help out her family. Learn more and donate by clicking here.

Overbay was shot to death when 67-year-old Gregory Ulrich allegedly walked into the Allina Crossroads Clinic, detonated three bombs, and shot five people. He has been charged with second-degree murder, four counts of attempted first degree premeditated murder, possessing an explosive or incendiary device, and possession of a firearm without a permit.
