(KNSI) – Stearns County is looking at updating its solid waste management plan, and they’re asking for public input.
The county says the plan is a “policy-based roadmap” for how the county reduces waste, increases recycling, and diverts waste from landfills.
The county wants to know how residents currently handle the disposal of their solid waste, including how and where their garbage and recycling is picked up or dropped off, their familiarity with recycling and waste programs, satisfaction with Stearns County’s solid waste services, how residents feel about waste to energy initiatives, composting, and more.
There is a survey residents can take to let the county how they feel about the current plan and what, if anything, should be changed.
