SAINT CLOUD (KNSI) —

The St. Cloud Icebreakers defeated the Fergus Falls Otters in high school girls hockey action on Thursday night.

After a scoreless first period, the Icebreakers exploded for 5 goals in the second period.

Cailey Davidson scored two goals in the second period. Kat Bell, Ava Schmidt and Lauren Junewski scored the other three second period goals for the Icebreakers.

Ellie Andersen added a goal for the Otters in the third period but it wasn’t enough as the Icebreakers came away with a 5-1 victory.

Cailey Davidson was named the All Star Trophy and Awards Player of the Game.

With the win, the Icebreakers improve to 3-4 and will play Sartell on Tuesday.
