(KNSI) – The Minnesota State Patrol says a 60-year-old Grove City man is dead after a crash involving a semi on Interstate 94 near Albany Thursday morning.
Troopers say the man’s 2003 Grand Prix was driving the wrong way in the eastbound lanes near mile marker 149 about 12:20, hit an oncoming semi-truck, and was then hit by a Chevy Trailblazer. That SUV was driven by a 17-year-old boy from Avon, sending the SUV spinning into the median ditch. The SUV hit the cable median barrier and taking out several poles. The teen was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and passenger in the semi were from Canada. Neither was hurt.
