(KNSI) – A 37-year-old St. Cloud man was arrested after allegedly selling fake heroin.
The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force used a confidential informant to buy 4.9 grams of heroin from Todd Chauvin on October 6th. The substance was then sent to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for analysis, which came back as non-controlled, meaning Chauvin sold a “fake or simulated substance.”
He was charged with third-degree felony sale of narcotics and felony manufacturing or selling non-controlled substances as a narcotic.
His next court appearance is in March.
