(KNSI) – Minnesota adds just more than 2,000 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday with 44 newly reported deaths.
The death count includes one person from Sherburne County, two from Stearns County and two from Wright County. Their ages range between 75 and 99.
Of the 2,004 new cases confirmed today, 160 are in the St. Cloud area: 8 in Benton, 20 in Morrison, 35 in Sherburne, 56 in Stearns and 46 in Wright.
The state processed more than 42,000 tests Wednesday, and 4.8 percent were positive, just below the 5 percent threshold that health officials consider to be a point of concern for uncontrolled spread of the virus.
