(KNSI) – Cathedral dominated Alexandria in the 6A section Final on Thursday night.
The Crusaders came out guns blazing as Jack Smith scored early and often, scoring two early goals and Mack Motzko scored his first goal of the postseason. Cathedral lead 3-0 after one period of play.
In period two, Cathedral didn’t slow down. Jack Smith scores his fourth goal of the night, Nate Warner got in on the action with his fourth goal of the postseason and Mack Motzko scored his second and third of the postseason to make it 7-0 after two periods of play.
In period three, Marcus Hjort scored for Cathedral to make it 8-0, moments after Alexandria’s Joe Westland finally got his team on the board 8-1 in the middle of the final frame.
Cathedral’s Jack Smith was named as the All-Stars Trophy and Awards player of the game with four goals.
