(KNSI) – The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is asking drivers to remember to slow down and move over after one of their squad cars was hit and severely damaged.
It happened Sunday night at about 11 p.m. on Highway 12.
The deputy had pulled a car over at 10:50 p.m., and during the course of the traffic stop, another car hit the squad.
No one was hurt.
On the Wright County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Sheriff Sean Derringer says this serves as a good reminder for all of us to be mindful and aware of emergency vehicles on the side of the road as well as other vehicles that may be pulled to the side of the road. Slow down and, if possible on a multi-lane road, move over.
